This page describes how lanestats.io handles your data. The wording below is a draft and will be reviewed before public launch.

What we collect

When you sign up, Clerk stores your email address and authentication state. When you upload a Lenex file, the file is processed on the server — only the statistical results and the meet name are written to our database. Swimmer names are not stored.

Web analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage statistics (page views, approximate region, device category). Tracking cookies are only set after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. Clicking "Reject" disables tracking entirely. IP addresses are anonymised by Google.

Login records and access logs

When you sign in, we record the timestamp, your IP address and the browser identifier (user agent). The site administrator can see this information to detect abuse and unusual sign-in activity. Detail records (IPs, user agents) are deleted after 90 days; the running login counter on your user row is kept. Anonymous page visits are counted without storing any IP. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure service.

What we don't do

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Authentication is delegated to Clerk; transactional emails go through Resend; aggregated web stats go through Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. The meets and analyses you uploaded stay on the platform — they contain no personal data and remain available to other users.
